COD FILE STRUCTURE

I am trying to replace my old profiles in my new cod4. Window seven file structure is different than xp. Can someone enlighten me in which folder to place the player profiles and the downloaded user map packs.

The mod folder is there but no profiles folders that I can find to replace with old stuff??

Please help

Thank you that is all....

Re: COD FILE STRUCTURE

What worked for me was that I started the game up and made another profile that i would delete, and exit out of the game.  Then go to where the game was installed, for me it is C:\Games\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles..... then copy your profile over.

I am pretty sure that by creating another profile, that it will automatically make the profile folder up so u can place your backup profile in it.

As for the map packs, I really don't know....lol!

Re: COD FILE STRUCTURE

The default will either be in C:\Program Files\Activision or it will be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision.  I don't do the defaults and installed the game to my D drive.  If you have a game icon, you can RMC and go to properties.  It will also tell you the path where you installed the game.

Re: COD FILE STRUCTURE

You mean you still haven't found the path?  Did you RMC on the COD4 Multiplayer Icon and click on properties?  It will tell you where the game is.

Re: COD FILE STRUCTURE

found the path it was in app data which in a separate folder than the program files... not sure why they were separate but it was in user/appdata/.... something another.. but the searching of the hard drive was the key to fix the problem thanks..
