Has any one had any experience using discord? I sub to a guy on twitch that switched to it from teamspeak and they are very happy with it, but i haven't used it yet. It's free to use, and its supposed to be set up for gaming. Maybe some one could set up a server to try out?

Anybody could setup a server. Its easy and free to use. Apparently its a lot better than teamspeak and the other voice chats that are out there

It's like the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
I think we've tried throwing everything and the kitchen sink to migrate away from vent, but somebody's always had something to complain about...
Mumble was the sound quality on earlier releases before they changed codecs, team speak just never took off on here, and I think king tried to migrate to discord a few months back.
But honestly, imo, anything's better than vent, well except for Skype
Ps, I've still got my mumble server running if you guys want to give it another shot

I've used Mumble recently and I love the 3D positional audio and distance relative audio gain+- it can give to the talkers. Really helps you keep aware of their pos in game. The sound quality is vastly improved over previous versions.

I also have used mumble and found no issue with it.
But again, I have no issue with vent, so there's that.
