Can others confirm?

I'm running Vista Ultimate and unchecked my QoS setting in network adapter properties.  I read somewhere that this should improve not FPS but makes it, how to say, fluctuate less.  I was ranging from like 70 to 200 during a game and now it's a lot smoother meaning that I will stay at closer to 200.

Just want to see if others have this setting unchecked as well and can report that it does help.  I'm not sure if Win XP has this or not since I don't XP anymore.

Qos (Quality of service is a method of assigning priorty to certain types of network traffic,  Just having the service installed shouldn't affect things, but there's no harm in turning it off either.

Re: Can others confirm?

It doesn't seem to affect anything else by turning it off but I run Qos on my router for my internet phone and gaming.  I got an Asus WL 520GU running Tomato firmware and it does a good job of it.

Ah, I assumed you weren't using it.  I should have qualified my statement.
